He did... and then was having problems with a tooth of his, so they put him on medical leave to take care of it... well, lo and behold, he took 3 weeks to get it taken care of even WITH my nagging (and it's still not fully taken care of, needs to have surgery on it, but it's not hurting him anymore, plus he needs to wait for the doctor to be free), so of course when he went back to work they were like "durrr your shift was taken, we'll need to wait for an open splot for you again". -_- So of course he isn't doing anything in the meantime, although he said he'd check out a temp work office.

And I'd like that~ I'll give you my address. :D

Oh no, and I'm supposed to be sending him a DVD with Clone Wars, and Episode 3. I'm thinking now that maybe I should just come up with some excuse, that I lost the files and the tracker went down or something. I don't think I even want those combadge things anymore >_>

So I guess I'm kind of responsible for some of his current Star Wars obsession... I'm really, REALLY sorry...

No no, not your fault... you know he just gets that this, no matter what. :/ It's annoying because I KNOW he's like this... he's been like this for the entire time I've known him... and on one hand I like that he knows what he likes and knows what he enjoys. I like when he puts his talent and creativty to use like when he was obseseed with trek and did the Rushmore thing... but at the same time, it disables him from doing like, anything else, which is really frustrating. :/ But no, don't blame yourself... hell, I volunteered to download crap for him too, and have.

Nothing wrong with telling people to fuck off, when they're pissing you off. Just make sure you can live with it if you have a change of heart, later. It might actually be better to be a little more...politic, than just shooting from the hip in this case.

As for your want for confidance, I'm reminded of the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper buried acorns in the ground, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And, he got a race car! Is any of this making sense to you?
