I agree 100% with you. I thought the same way about the church. I believed it was one of the biggest hoax in history because God didn't write the Bible, people did. And people were the one who came up with all the things in religions that they expect people to follow.

I can hear those writers laughing their asses off right now...

That's one of my other issues about religions!

Also, they say Adam was made from dirt and Eve was made from flesh. What happend to the superiority of women if they can walk men over like dirt? Or they say Mary was a virgin but still got impregnanted. Why doesn't that happen to women today?

I basically think this whole thing is a theory or a phenomenon.

um, i heard a story of a virgin got pregnant...

ok, the story goes like this - her older brother was at bath n he jacked off there... let the semen go out... he didn't threw away all the water, just let water leave n left, and his sister went to bath... and the semen in the water entered into her n got her pregnant.

virgin and pregnant. o well, i think it's bs but that's what i heard.

Man, I so agree with you. I'm not at all reglious. Matt and I both don't really believe in god. Actually Matt does surely don't believe in god, he believes in higher power. As for me, I think its bullshit how god lets this world get so fucked up and all that shit. I have really hard time believing after my 13 month old niece who I was so fucking close to was killed in June. I've lost so many people and it's making me feel like there isn't god after all. If there is, he wouldn't be this cruel to make one person suffer so much ( ... )

Mmm. Some background: I grew up in a strongly Christian family. My parents and sister believe very strongly in the Christian doctrine, and so did I, up until last year. I've since become agnostic, but that doesn't really matter.

What does matter is a bit of clarification, from the perspective of someone who feels he's received the best that the Christian community has to offer.

1. They always ask for your money.
Yeah, they do. It's in the Bible: "tithing" is known as giving 1/10th of your income to the church--they don't earn money otherwise, and can't sustain themselves without some form of income.
2. They expect you to believe whatever they say. What's the point of listening to a pastor's bullshit if your have your own beliefs to follow?Unfortunately, there's a lot of room for interpretation when it comes to the Bible. Personally, I have a hard time believing that the Bible is the verbatim word of God, given all the human intervention over the last 20 centuries. But the pastor himself is supposed to be a teacher, a leader. His ( ... )

Wow, that church sounds cool because of the bookstore and the starbucks. Wait a minute? It's a church?! That money's better spent on charity!!! I totally agree with you. I've never been to a church service. Only time I ever go to church is weddings, funerals, or performances. That's it. I'm soo glad my parents raised us to allow us to decide our own religion beliefs. They grew up being forced to go to church and they hated that.

In other words, I totally agree with you. I believe in a personal relationship with a higher being, and I don't need no pastor or priest telling me how to have that relationship.
