Challenge #130: Goodbye - Retreat
When he realized how much he hated goodbyes, he tried to make sure no one ever left so he wouldn't have to fumble through the words. An ex-wife and a job loss later, he concluded that he needed to change tack.
Now he never stayed anywhere long enough to get attached and any goodbyes he had to exchange were words only and said out of courtesy. He brought in numbers beyond what his contracts laid out to make sure he'd never get called back to somewhere he'd already been and have to say hello to people he'd already left behind.
