Danny was a god. No, that would be David (in their parents' eyes, at least). Well, Danny was the Epitome of All Things Cool then. He was always surrounded by lots of friends, some of whom were even girls, and now he had a driver's licence. He was just cool.
Sam had a large stack of comic books and small group of friends, most of whom had even more acne than him, who could turn any conversation into a debate on how warp drive worked. The way Sam saw it, he could stand to be a little more like Danny.
