Challenge #132: Tenderness - Holding On
Casey fidgets in the waiting room while the stitches are removed. They drive back to Dan's apartment in silence.
Casey's spent the last four nights camped out on Dan's couch. He'll stay as long as he has to, he just doesn't want to have to. Dan looks like he's ready to talk but is still fumbling for the right words to start.
Casey takes Dan's hand and pulls it towards his face, angled so that his lips rest chastely on Dan's wrist. Dan winces at the pressure on the bruised and not-yet-healed skin but it's Casey whose cheeks become tear-streaked.
