Casey's face twisted in silent anguish.
Dan had a pretty good idea of what this meant, and he braced himself before forcing Casey to say it out loud.
"What's going on?"
"It's over, Danny."
Dan sighed, wishing it hadn't come to this, but he'd known for years that it was inevitable. "You're sure this time?"
"You wanna see the stacks of papers that need to be signed?"
He shook his head and walked over to rest a hand on Casey's shoulder, worrying that the show could not survive what would undoubtedly be a messy divorce between executive producer and co-anchor.
