Their laughter fades and their drinks have cooled when Dana takes a deep breath and Lisa steels herself.

Dana's eyes well and Lisa reaches across the table and squeezes her hand goodbye. Then she grabs her coat and leaves without a word, waiting until she's in her car to let her own tears come.
