"False advertising," Dan says out of the blue.
It's random enough to distract Casey from the gash in his hand. "What?"
"I watch tv just like everybody else. I've come to expect certain things."
Casey wonders if he'd be able to follow Dan's line of thought if he wasn't in so much pain. He doesn't think so. "What?"
"I'm in a hospital. Specifically, I'm sitting in an ER. I want to see George Clooney walk in with scrubs and a stethoscope draped around his neck."
"Get in line," the woman on Casey's other side says before resuming her coughing fit.
