60,000 words! WOW! Are they anywhere I could take a peek at them? And you know how I feel about you getting an education etc, I think it's a brilliant thing for you to work on and I'm way proud of you for going back to it - because that isn't easy. (but very worth it)

*huge hugs for the Chevira*

I'm doing fine! I'm feelin' way better, but having a nightmare trying to get a job over here. All the jobs I trained for have suddenly been pulled off the market cos of money woe - so ironically I'm now working as an accountant for a social-concern environmental company! They're a bunch of total hippies, but I like it there! Also there was a time I was supposed to get glasses, but didn't in the end. And my cat is awesome! Other than that, I'm writing away too! race you to 90,000!

Miss you chica, it's awesome to catch up for a moment here and there though! Stay warm in that crazy winter! Can't have frostbite claiming your writing fingers!

A good reporter reports the truth with as little personal opinion inserted as possible. A good journalist inserts some personal perspective to make it clear that the story relates to a human's experience and not just general facts. Personally, I'd rather get my news from a reporter ( ... )

Awh Telos, I prefer a reporter too. And thank you so much for all those observations... really interesting to hear what you think! Because I know you have a really analytical way of looking at things, and you remember stuff about people!

It'd probably be politics and culture that I wrote about... maybe I should start practicing in my lj a bit more!

Thanks for helping, amiga. And for writing so much!

I hope it helps. It sounds like it would be a fun job to me so I hope you do get to enjoy it. I'm afraid I just can't help but be an analytical person. Sometimes it undermines my enjoyment of things like half the dramas on TV. (Can you say House? I have got to be in the right mood or I rip it to shreds.)

Politics are hard to report objectively. Really hard. If you could give the straight facts without any bias I don't think it would be as interesting reading, but it would be nice to see.

Culture on the other hand is a very broad spectrum of subjects. You could talk art, schools, local traffic courts, or about the smoking bans being rejected by the pubs. The smoking ban in restaurants and bars was discovered to be a loosing proposition here, but smoking is actually less common here than in Europe and the UK. I bet you could do a lot on just how the cultures are different and how they are alike too.

Anyhow, good luck.

Oh House can be so annoying, and the rubbish thing is that the acting is so good but the scripts/writing/premise are so... lame sometimes. Bleh!

And thanks for all those hints and tips, Telos! Very cool insights. *puts them in journal* And thanks for all your help.

Big hugs to you, and to all the family. I hope you guys are doing okay, and I was dead pleased to hear about Alex's new speech therapist being a hopefully good one. Hope he and his sisters are doing okay! (Zero the cat says miow! To them all.)
