So I feel like theres a void in my life right now. I don't really know how to explain it, I don't know what it means or what it was caused by. All I really know is I'm not very happy (I know, here we go again). Well I just feel like I need more in my life. In every aspect of my life. I don't think I'm living the ideal 20 year old life, when at ( Read more... )

just becuase you're at a slow point in your life right now doesn't mean you're losing. After all, life generally lasts a pretty long time. It's hard to judge how the game will end when you're only a few minutes in.

And i know what you mean. My friends... just don't seem like friends right now. So i'm all about the whole, doing your own thing, and nothing exciting happens, and you feel left out, and want to be noticed, but don't want to be annoying. at least that's how it is for me right now.

You've got time to mix things up a bit. Don't consider yourself beaten just becuase you're not out partying every night or have plans every day.

Keep your chin up. :)

Try, as hard as it may be, to revel in the consistency of life.

A curse of redundancy and routine is truly a blessing when you suppose what ills could plague your life, instead.

That being said, it is up to us at this point to entertain ourselves; to seek out meaning in the world and define ourselves through action. Just because you aren't in a position to advance right now doesn't mean you can't start reading a million interesting books, renting a million interesting movies, putting pen to a page, fingers to a keyboard, etc. Express yourself in the ways you never thought you could; force yourself to try the things you don't think you're good at and you'll often find a hidden passion.

I relate to the feeling of standing still, even here in NYC. You've got to keep yourself immersed in your passions, or sometimes most rewardingly, create new ones.
