for anyone thats interested:

there are plans in the pipelines for a new eating disorder unit to be built,theyre thinking of building it in blackburn(on the old bri site).

unfortunatley,no.they told us today in group.....at the moment burnley are looking at all the ed units kinda near-ish to decide which one they want to use,and even though they havent looked at them all yet,theyre sticking with cheadle,mainly becuase they were told about the new unit....it isnt decided its going to be blackburn-it may be somewhere on the burnley general site,so they were told,but they said its more than likely blackburn.........hopefully they'll give us all some more information,then i can do some digging!i'll let you know if i find anything else out...x

Thanks for letting us know... have you any idea who the ED unit is going to be run by?
ie. NHS or privately (priory etc.)

as far as i know its NHS.
priory have one in preston,and a new one in bury,but i know the nhs are looking at all the ip units roiund this area to get ideas.
there used to be an ip unit in burnley till about6-7 years ago.
hopefully when they do build it,it will a)stay open and b)not be taken over by a private company.....
