Rain

On Monday, I sat in the armchair looking at the curve of Gothly's foot that was resting on the end of the sofa.  It was very kissable.  I was thinking about the happy years we had spent together, and about how much we loved each other.  I made a cup of tea for us both, and over it, I ended our relationship.  Then I went to the dentist: she has just ( Read more... )

I'm really fucking sorry. There aren't any words in the world for things like this, but I really really hurt for things like this and I'm sorry.

Delgadina, thank you for your words, and I know there are none. I have been following your journal and wishing I had something wise or helpful to say to you too. I'm glad the summer is looking up for you.

...Incidentally, would you like me to get hold a copy of the last Orbis for you? Or have you seen it?

Did Orbis end up using the review? Since I hadn't heard anything about it, I just assumed they decided not to.

Where can I get a copy here in the USA?

They did use it, but the edition got published later than they intended. I've only just received my copy. Shall I get them to send you one, care of Pudding House?

It might well be, but I can't remember what I was writing about a month and a half ago. Do you mean here, or on the other site?

hi.
it's a whale not a manatee.
i brought this hug, it has your name on it so i think it belongs to you. i'll just leave it here by the door and if you want you can take it and wrap it round you. it's quite big, and i think it's very warm.

I really don't know how to answer this. You are sort of right, but it's more than that. I can't explain very well, other than that I needed to go. I have this powerful urge that I can't deny any longer... but putting it into words is difficult. I've been feeling as though my wings have been flapping for some time.

Call it a mid-life crisis.

I have been reading the emails, and thank you for your concern. You are obviously mystified and are wondering how this could have happened. I appreciate that you are sending all this advice and bewildered questioning because you care very much and are concerned for me. But I don't know how to explain it more than I already have, and I'm not sure I even want to. It's not like I am obliged to explain to my friends the ins and outs of my love life.

Although I appreciate that my lack of communication means you must try to fill in the gaps yourself, I really wish you wouldn't! You are jumping to a lot of conclusions that make me wonder what the hell kind of person you think I am. I have loved deeply for as long as you have. I know how to run a relationship ( ... )

This is so scarily close to what Husband and I were through just recently... I even stayed with my parents for two nights.

Do you think it's the moon or the weather or the age? (I feel like 58)

Many many hugs
