Snake had been settling in the past few days in Canyon Ridge, thanks to his new...housekeeper and Constantine. The housekeeper had the most to do with it though and Snake tried to keep neat for her. Didn't want to overwork her since she was benefitting him, after all ( Read more... )

"Oh, that's all right. There wasn't much." She waved off the concern. "I didn't want to disturb you. Would you like me to bring you some coffee while you're reading?"

It was odd, but for some reason, Zelda took a great deal of comfort from feeling like someone needed her -- even if, as she knew full well, Snake didn't really. It made it seem less frivolous that she was in Canyon Ridge, like she had been pulled there for a purpose.
