For the last few months I've been parking my car in what's left of the free parking in the Pearl then walking to Stumptown downtown. My route usually goes through Chinatown, which seems to have the most entertaining conversations per block than other areas.
My favorites so far:
"Hey, Be-AT-trice! Girlfriend, where's your evening gown to go with that hairpiece?"
and
"He's cleaner than a can of lysol."
Loved the second syllable accent of "Beatrice"--that was a new pronunciation to me.
In other non-news, some gardening is taking place. My cat, however, is not helping much.
