I'm usually a-okay with spiders and centipedes in the house, being that they eat plenty of other things I'd rather not find in my cupboards. Unfortunately this guy took me by surprise. And now he's flat.

Oh, man. I'm actually NOT okay with centipedes. My new apartment is the first time I've had them, and some of them are freaking huge! But I don't like bugs period. I'm glad you smashed that spider.

They're totally freaky-looking and move way too fast, but they'll also eat cockroaches, so... in NYC at least, I consider them friendly (if creepy).
