love of money parade

I'm not sure why (especially considering all the sponsor logos I saw) but the fees to have a float in the parade this year were a lot higher than last year's. So most of the "slternative" groups were deterred. Too bad. Last year I was with the bunnies and spun for the parking lot party. This year I had been invited to DJ on a Santa float (I have the bestest wacked xmas music in town!) but it turned out to be too 'spensive for Santa. So I imagine it was mostly just the big clubs who could afford the fees.

It's sad, because the roots of the love parade are from the reunification of Germany - they paraded through Berlin, celebrating the fall of the wall. Now it's all about money, apparently.
