“Just hold him, you blighter,” Lily huffed, bouncing the black haired infant in her arms.
“He’s Potter’s blood, Lily,” Severus said. “Do you think that’s wise?”
“Severus, he’s not old enough to have it out for you,” Lily sniped. “Just HOLD him!”
Lily thrust the child into his arms as Severus’s lower lip curled in a vague disgust, but obliged, cradling the boy. Harry reached a hand up, lacing his fingers in Severus’s hair and tugging violently.
Severus yowled as Lily snatched Harry back into her arms.
James smirked from where he was leaning against the doorframe, “That’s my boy.”
