I can't make you like Snape, but you cannot deny the facts, like him or not. Severus Snape as a child suffured physical and mental abuse, neglect, and bullying during his younger years.
Then he lost the only good thing that had ever happened to him, and he had to live with the guilt of indirectly causing Lily's death for the rest of his life. And geesh, no wonder he didn't like Harry. Not only did he look a lot like James, but also everytime Snape looked him in the eyes he was reminded of Lily's sacrifice for a boy that didn't seem extrondinary compared to her, atleast in his mind.
And then of course Severus had to live with the title of Dumbledore's murderer, and then he was murdured in cold blood. So Severus has every reason to be the way he is. He's my fave charecter because he struggles so much to do what is right, and he's a bit of an anti hero. No other charecter had more courage then he did.
