Title: Holiday Torture

Notes: I had another more comedic idea but it was impossible for me to par it down, so this was my second idea

Severus, unsurprisingly, abhorred the holiday. It was nice to be rid of the majority of the students, but it was always insisted that the staff interact with those who stayed. He was trading one evil for another, as rarely did any of his Slytherins stay. This holiday he was alone in the dungeons. He saw no problem with that. Albus did.

It appeared Albus had decided this holiday Severus was going to A) enjoy the holiday and B) interact with students who stayed. Several times when Minerva or Filius or Pomona should have been called to take care of their houses, Severus was summoned. It seemed Albus had corralled the other heads into this ridiculous plan. It certainly made their break simpler.

Unfortunately he kept being called to deal with the three he least liked to deal with. They had been seen sneaking about, although several times he found they were not involved in that was directly against the rules. This usually resorted in 50 points from each due to miniscule and imaginary infractions, mostly as vengeance for ripping him from his dungeons.

Thus it was no surprise when he was again summoned to check on the trio who had been seen my one of the ghosts in an empty classroom. He strode angrily through the hallways. As he forcefully opened the classroom door, he was greeted with caroling music and the entire population of the castle.

“Merry Christmas!” the room shouted as confetti rained down. It was torture.
