I haven't been through a hurricane since I was in my late teens but I still remember how scary it was. Please heed all the warnings and take good care of yourselves.

And if we're very lucky Irene will stay offshore and skip happily out to sea!

Hey, Sub. I'm curing it too but it seems to be easing up a bit as it hits land. Unfortunately, it hits the northeast around high tide so there will be lots of flooding.

I just spoke to my parents and taught them how to send text messages in case the phones go out. We laughed and hat a lot of fun with it. They should be fine because the house has a generator if the power goes out. The lesson was for me so I won't worry if I can't reach them!
