And go you!! for the Doctor's costume - what an ambitious undertaking, and how incredible you did! That is totally awesome. I made TheHubs(r) a Zoot Suit one year (he played in a Jump Jive band at the time), and I nearly tore my hair out. It turned out pretty good, but crikey, I thought I was going to go mad. Lapels just mystify me, and yet you just sailed through it!
You do realise the sky's the limit now - you've done the hardest stuff there is to do. From now on, everything will be easy compared to that!

The suit about did-in my sanity (no 'about' to it if you ask my hubby). Both the collar and lapels are pretty off ... it just doesn't show so much in the picture.
And now hemming pants and making a window valance seemed like child's play. But I think I'll give the hard stuff a break for a while. My sanity agrees.

You did really great for no patterns. Yeah you did a huge learning curve, but look at what you did and the next project will be easier. =)
These are definitely "cosplay" grade costumes.
