It took a few near career changes for me to realize I shouldn't give up on Japanese and becoming a translator. Even though I didn't get into UW, it's the reason I got my AA from BCC and part of the reason why Derek and I moved (so both of us could work for Nintendo). So, there's that. I know, I know. There will be Squalo in the future though that might compensate for what I will be doing in July. At least his character is infinitely better now than the first half of the series.

Good. It always makes me feel kinda bad when people give up on what they really want. The road getting there may be a little tougher or take a little longer, but if it's what you really want it'll be worth it and you'll be happier in the long run.
Also, it took me a couple tries to get into UW, so if that's the route you want to take just keep going for it. It's frustrating and disappointing, i know, but it just made finally getting in so much more rewarding.

I didn't know you applied a few time to get in...you're such a smarty! : ) It will definitely be more rewarding once I am finally able to take the JLPT and get a move on with things it's just frustrating it can't happen right now. :p I plan to at least attend BCC and WAL in the meantime and start there so I don't forget everything.
