I've just finished my first art commission, and am starting the second one now. Wheee! Keep your eyes peeled over at
jenihe80 's journal if you'd like to see what I painted for her. (hint: it's not fanart! Whoa!)
I am in much too good of a mood. Quick, somebody send me a bill, or slap me silly or something. Heh.

if i wanted a portrait of just my cockatoo, how LONG would that take and how much would you charge. you pick the size. this is not to dicker on the price as much as to ascertain if i can afford to do it now before i start work, and in time for valentine's day as a gift for my husband...
if i can't afford it, or if your schedule doesn't allow it, it's not a deal killer...it will just mean that i'll wait a month or two. i've wanted to make a commission like this for a while, but i hadn't found the right artist. either the paintings were too generic and didn't capture the critter, OR they paintings were just plain lousy.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to get to your commission in time for a Valentine's day present for your husband--I have five others in the queue at the moment, and I won't be taking any more until they are finished. This could take one to two months, just as an estimate. Sorry about that! I will be posting in my journal again when I can take more.

Check out my reply to thearchitect, above your entry. That should give you a good idea of cost. Plus, your image doesn't show. :o(

I've got a cockatiel, like Jess. As a matter of fact, I obtained your name from her.
I will try to remember to contact you within the next month or two, when you have estimated you may have free time to work on new commissions.
Thank you for your time!
