Uh-oh

I've done The Bad Thing.
It's taken me 4 months to pluck up the courage to try a bit of work-hours ficcing - don't congratulate me on my restraint and grown-upness, it's just because it's taken me this long to work out how to stop them watching what I'm doing. Sadly, I don't think I will get much done.

Oh! Poor thing....But I will say this - this post had me holding my sides in laughter... Yeah, I used to write fanfiction in computer class.. those were the days. I learned how to use the alt tab command to change screens REAL quick. Hope things get better!

Heh heh. I would have got away with it too, if it hadn't been for you meddling accountants...
I'm no good at being a grown-up!
Thanks for moral support, Nightie xxx

i haven't read anything in ages, but when i find the time (right!) your snucius is at the top of the list.

your post made me laugh

so glad to see you're getting comfortable enough to work on what's really important at work!

i have an office (of sorts) - big glass door sort of negates privacy.
So don't have to worry about doing a lot of typing like you. but the ventilation fans overhead are mega loud so i don't hear what's going on in the hall. And people just fling the door open instead of knocking (I can't seem to break them of the habit). It scares the shit out of me everytime particularly when i've got something on the screen i don't want them to see...and i've got to hide it in 3 seconds before they're in the office far enough.

ahhhh, the eternal struggle to find a way not to work at work

xx

Bah, real life! Who needs it? Don't these people realise we have better things to do than work?! Think of it as good exercise for your reflexes.

*Pokes in an undemanding and totally friendly way* How's Unexpected Grace?

Wouldn't mind if she was the boss, she's just a miniature busybody who has no business telling me off! Think Umbridge with less pink and a Cockney accent. Shudder.

Of course you're a loyal darling, darling. Do ignore most of that post, I was just having a big sulk, as is my wont.

Hope you're OK. SN x

Lol! Oh goodness, those Small But Deadly Colleagues really are... err.. well small and deadly! I hate them with a passion. When you're in the middle of something they suddenly appear as if out of the thin air and begin asking embarrassing questions. One really doesn't want to tell them that you're actually writing fanfiction of Harry Potter characters instead of concentrating on the expressive aspects of Munch and Kollwitz. It kind of ruin ones image >_>

But yay, I cheered when I read that you're concentrating on a sequel to Going Straight. That's just fabulous! *dances enthusiastically*
And as an avid fan of Softly Whispering I Love You, do not stop, pretty please? *puppy dog eyes* I have an unhealthy passion for anything bittersweet.

Sounds like you've been there too! Why doesn't everyone mind their own business in the workplace, is what I want to know? I suppose I should count my blessings and pity the poor fan-artists who must have way more trauma trying to keep their doings secret. It must be really hard to explain away a full-screen, full-detailed slash image of your two favourite wizards doing naughty and possibly illegal things to each other! At least us writers can pretend it's an email.

Thank you so much for saying you like my stuff. I have such a miserable little sense of self-esteem, these things really give a boost! Off to do some more plotting now... Thanks again, SN xx

Hah! You have a very good point there. I don't think I'd ever dare adventure on making such a drawing in public. But the thing is, up until now I have been a hapless student, and I don't think anyone is fooled when I write away in my notebook with the most eager expression on my face.

And you really shouldn't have bad self-esteem in writing. I know it's easy for me to say that, but honestly, you write extremely well. My favourite fanfiction writer on the whole of FF XDD
