AD-SS time again!

Back again with this Snape/Dumbledore thing! I have been thinking about some titles so I thought I’d share them and see what people thought. Feel free to use the word ‘pathetic’ in your comments if necessary. I'm just brainstorming!
1) “Crushed.”
2) “New Tricks.”
3) “Severus, please.” (Used widely as a title for all sorts of things, but still a goodie ( Read more... )

oh the plot thickens.....
I do hope severus chooses wisely! (after a little hemming and hawing that is)

i like the detail of dumbledore sabotaging the presses...
he's so cute!

I like titles 5 and 3 - but i wouldn't listen to my advice when you make a decision.

wonderful installment!!

Thank you, Cocoa! I think the late Mrs Dumbledore may have had something to do with the idea to have a 'quiet word' with the Prophet staff. Abuse of power? But of course.

I think I have to torture them a bit more before Severus manages to choose wisely. Hmm. At least AD has finally made his full intentions clear.

I'm fond of 'Severus, please' as a title, but there's even a community called that now, so it might be a bit too widely used. I especially like it if you have it in answer to a question (eg (q) Albus, which of these eligible bachelors would you like to take home tonight? (a) Severus, please. Thank you.)

Of course I listen to your advice, woman! Especially where it concerns this pairing. Tsk.

Oho, you caught me out with the covert Blackadder reference! Tom Baker's greatest role! Expect more of those, my friend has lent me the complete boxed set of all 4 series. (I wonder about the parallels between Flasheart and Lockhart? Woof!)
Yes, the two sneakiest tacticians are at it again. Snape insecurities make him do very ill-advised things, but Albus is a determined type. It also helps that he's bored now there's no war to fight!

Thanks for indicating a preference of title, duly noted. I need to work on it though and make it either funny or more apt. Hmm. Would help if I knew where it was going!

Thanks for reading, love SN x

Hooray! I've finally got round to reading all this (I'm Rabbit of Iron from over on ffn, by the way). And I've read it all with a ridiculously huge grin on my face and occasionally burying my face in my quilt to muffle inappropriately-amused noises

Dumbledore is a wonderful luvvie. Fawkes is a fantastic psychiatrist. Severus is an almost-huggable angsty-boy ('almost' because he'd probably hex me). The staff are beautifully grammatical ('smited' 'smote' 'smitten' had me in fits). Dumbledore's staff has a knob on the end *sings*. Everything is fabulous!

I like title 5 personally. It has the humour in it.

Like the icon! Heh heh.

I'm delighted you are enjoying this nonsense! What is the past participle of 'to smite' anyway? Tsk.

Thanks for your opinion on the title - I know there is potential there, but I need to make an effort to make it pithy. It's taken 8 chapters to even get a vague idea!

According to dictionary.com (my real dictionary has just been packed into the bottom of a box) it's 'smote' in this context. Which is what I would have said anyway.

The icon came about when I realised that all the poshboys who would otherwise have gone to Eton/Gordonston/other public schools and been buggered in the dorms ended up in Hufflepuff (Cedric, Ernie, Justin). And Cedric is so pretty!

It's nonsense? Surely not; it's what canon would be if JKR didn't have to write for kids...

So right! It's always so reassuring to hear from you! I recently got some rather bourgeouis disapproving comments about the SS-LM fic I wrote where Severus is 11 and Lucius is 15. I just wanted to scream - Hogwarts is a BRITISH BOARDING SCHOOL! It's TRADITION! These things happen ALL THE TIME! Ask any upper class chap and they'll tell you it's character-building! The RAF, MI5 and the empire on which the sun never set was built by men who knew all about that kind of thing. Tsk. Everyone needs to read Stephen Fry's "The Liar ( ... )

....and then snape hyperventalates and goes into a dead faint....

Heya! Still love this fic
Hows your summer been?
I went over to ff.net and read your two SS/RL stories - they are quite good, and I love the slowly creeping plot fo Softly Whispering I love You. I don't like reviewing on ff.net because my internet and ff.net dont get along so hot. So...I just waited till you posted again, lol.

Yes, that *is* one of my ideas for the next chapter!

Thanks, glad you liked the Snupin too.

Summer's going ok thanks, new job is great but I can't believe I have to move house yet again. So so so utterly sick of having to load my life into boxes every year! How are you doing? OK I hope, love SN xxx
