I am surprised you didn't have Frank Herbert author of the Dune series Sera.

That's because I saw this really awful tv version of the books, and it was horribel beyond words. So I was never quite convinced they were all that good. So... are they good?

LOL yes the TV versions were bad beyond words But the books are phenomenal. The depth and background he gos into... well not only do the characters come alive but the whole universe. I think you would enjoy them.
