I've never had so much negative reaction to a story before. I've had someone complain about the title. I've had someone complain that I didn't put enough information in the header. I've had someone complain that I put too much information in the header.

Lighten up, people.

Total sympathy. I knew my ITB fic was going to cause controversy but I didn't realise just how much!

Which fic of yours are they talking about?

No one is giving negative feedback about your story. It's only your formatting. And if you read the rules, you'll never have that problem. But I don't agree with you saying that we should lighten up when you're going against the rules of the community.

Why are you continuing this? You informed me I had broken your rules (most of which were unwritten at the time) and I deleted the posts from your community. You won. That should have been the end of your involvement with my journal, as you've never commented here before.

I didn't break any rules about my title, yet I got complaints about it. I didn't break any rules about not having enough info in the warnings, yet I got complaints about that as well. These were from people who aren't mods of your community, so really, this mini-rant isn't all about the community.

I vented my frustration by writing this. I didn't mention your community, yet you're still over here slapping my hand about your rules. So yes, I do say - lighten up.

I didn't win anything. I merely commented because I was angry about your comment to "lighten up."

That comment wasn't directed at you, but at the whole situation. There were other people involved who aren't mods at your community.

I apologize about breaking your rules - I did read them, and I thought I followed them. As I said before, there was nothing about disabling comments OR that the header listed was the only acceptable one listed in the rules. So can you see my side where I was feeling a little frustrated?

Participating in fandom by reading or writing fanfics is supposed to be fun, but this whole situation has taken a lot of that away for me. And no, it's not just what has gone on between you and me - it's everything.

You're going to continue the story in your own LJ, right? I was enjoying it :)

I didn't mean to complain, I was just shocked, especially as you are a member of the Olympics. *g*

So many things to worry about this week, and I really appreciate you changing your title. You interview is up, BTW.

Thanks again.
