Back home after a great 5 days in Edinburgh. Saw the Tattoo - including fireworks this time - and some great Fringe gigs, a couple of which had a tentative Rickman connection. A Cambridge Uni group did Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. It was brilliant and gave me an idea of what to expect from the movie. Then we saw Faith Brown and ( Read more... )

And I missed your birthday, too, didn't I? Belated good wishes. I had a whale of a time! (I really need to update my icons!)

No worries, when you get to our age birthdays are perhaps best ignored. ;-)

Still trying to get caught up with my e.mail... will be in touch soon.

Agree about York and London (we were there a couple of months ago and had a rare old time). Still trying to get up to Scotland for the first time.

That sounds wonderful--especially the ghost walk and the Potted Potter presentation (say that 3 times real fast).

Tongue tied or what! If you ever get a chance to see it, go! I think I screamed the loudest when they said anyone who thinks Snape is good, shout now!And as for the Quidditch....

Fun!! We went to Edinburgh this time last year and had a great time, wonderful city, masses to do and a lovely atmosphere. No wonder you're depressed now! We're off to London for the weekend to do the touristy bit, but I doubt we'll get quite such a jolly reception as in the North.

Hi, how are you? Hope the weather keeps for you in London. We were fairly lucky with just a few showers (pretty good for Scotland!) although it doesn't really matter all that much in big cities.

I'm fine thanks - have just taken the kids bowling and come out to the most enormous thunderstorm, flooded roads etc - it must be summer in England!! We're fairly chilled about what weather we get in London, at least there's plenty to do indoors or under cover.

I was in Iceland in June and they have much better weather than us :-))
