OUCH. Don't you dare write like this again, not if you want me to live to see the light of day. Ouchouchouch. Coldness transforming to the heat of regret... I think I would have preferred it if Harry had died, and that was the horror of it, and I think the story would be better if it was Harry that died, and that we didn't have to go into the Azkaban introspection later.
Still, brilliant. Dark. Frightening. Few stories can make me cringe; this one did.
God, you almost make me cry. It made me want to cuddle Sev and protect him from your evil scheme LOL. But it's truly brilliant and I really love this part: ".... perhaps I simply desired accolades and love both."
Switchknife said it all. Terribly painful. I'm with Nimori's school of thought when it comes to Severus, he's a bastard, but he's a good bastard. And he is a greddy Slytherin of course. This story has a lot of that. It is painful to know that even though he did the right thing in the end they just casted him aside. It's unfair, and yet so true.
Gods, this was so....so powerful. I was biting my nails and wondering all that time. But it fits perfectly with the ambiguity of Snape. Harry who once his trust is given trusts almost explicitly and refuses to believe personal betrayal is possible. Though he seems to have learned the hard way now. And no redemption for Snape now though we want it for him, want an happy end.
Hiya :) You don't know me (obviously) but I've been a fan of your fic for some time, and this one is definetely going in my 'favorites' folder. So deliciously painful, and your prose is just lovely. I felt Snape's pain, and even his touch of insanity. Very nicely written, and much enjoyed, thank you for sharing!
