PICCCCTURESSS!!!!!!!!

ps dont mind my ultra white-ness and my chunky/fat-ness....and dont even get me started on my face....no make up in most of them....and then the ones where i am boogie boarding....i call it "salt water in my face" face....but besides my appearence. i had a blast!!!!!! i got to swim with dolphins and sea turtles....and snorkeling (which i need to do again) and despite the cloudy weather and we snorkeled around lava rocks so it wasnt extreemly colorful i saw many-a fish...angel fish i think i saw a puffer like fish and i got to see a sea snake...and i did find some pretty looking coral that i took home with me. and i also tried surfing. which was fun untill i split my toenail and i needed to go back and clip it before my toe nail rips off.....my toenail is still a little cracked it will grow out soon though. i would like to try surfing again but on a softer beach....we were on the big island aka the youngest island so instead of nice soft white sandy beaches is was black and rocky....still breath taking though.
and we also saw an old lava flow...well i shouldnt say old because it occured somewhere between the 70s and the 80s...i think....it looked fairly new. and the waves would hit the cliff of the lava flow and just spray every where....it'd make a real. nice picture but you have to be carefull because they can get HUGE...and well while i was posing for a picture with my cousin and huge one came and soaked all of us!!! (except my mother who was at the house)

oh my goodness the two places we stayed at were amazing.
the first one was right on the north shore of ohau(sp?) well its pronouced oh-ah-who. so the waves were amazing (btw the beaches here are SO much nicer than california. i hated the california beaches...these are just terrfic!) and it was a 10 second walk to the beach. i woke up early one morning and swam in the ocean....that was absolutly amazing....i could never do something like that here.....well i woke up to hike the hill by myself to watch the sunrise...but swimming is much better! and i actually like swimming in the oceans....i tried it once when i was young when i went to california...not so great...the only fun part of the beaches there was building sand/drip castle and looking for seashells and hermit crabs....but in hawaii, i didnt mind the salt water all that much, i want to say that the water seemed less salty there but who knows.
and wakiki....is halarious. total tourist-y...the picture of the yellow umbrellas is on wakiki beach, and the pictures with the parrots.

oh and i also visited the byu hawai'i university there....i liked it. it has a nice art department...i think, they put in a new ceramics building recently....very diverse there. we talked with someone from romania. i doubt i would get it because a lot of people apply and very few get in.

the other placed we stayed at(on the big island...also called hawaii...but that gets confusing so Big island it is) was a house also...but this one was rented out to people...it was nice. my mom dad and uncle stayed in the big house and me and my cousin stayed in the small appartment off to the side....there was a small pond, and the flowers trees and etc. around there were gorgeous!!! it was called the Honu Hula House (the house of the dancing turtle.....i love sea turtlessss!!!!!!) it was about a 4 min walk to the ocean....i wouldnt want to call it a beach because it was just lava rock. but the rock blocked some of the waves so we could snorkle without fear of being smashed in to sharp rocks(which i experianced first hand...and i still have the scabs to prove it too!)

oh yeah we apparently had an earthquake there...and no i didnt feel it. i'm highly disappointed because i was sleeping in a moving car when it occured but i felt the consequences of it it messed up our plans greatly (and i saw some damage). so instead of swimming with the dolphins the same day as surfing in kona (the same day of the earthquake) we had to wander around and find a place to eat that was open. and the dolphin swimming wasnt even going to happen that day because they had to acces the dolphins.....the next day i wanted to see lava and snorkle. but since the dolphins were pushed back a day we had to choose between dolphins and (molten)lava....well i couldnt make the decsion so i asked my cousin...dolphins it was.

that just means i have to go back and see some active volcanos and such..... oh and there was a 4 inch tsunami from the earth quake....hahahahaha i surfed bigger waves that day.
i still have some pictures from my camera (which broke mid trip...i have no camra now!)
they will be up when i find a way to upload them
