I didn't think Houndoom was a popular one. It wasn't found until after the E4 in GSC/HGSS, wasn't in R/S, and just kinda got thrown into Plat. Since the games kind of shoved it into a corner, I don't think it really had a chance to get a big following.

But Lugia for sure is a popular one. Just about everyone I know prefers it to Ho-oh.

HUH. I guess I am just hanging out with a bad Pokecrowd. I was pretty sure it was more popular then that.

Although I kind of figured that about Lugia. Ho-Oh was only interesting because it was on the first episode of the show when it was the ~BIG MYSTERY~.

Also I have always harbored a bit of a grudge against Dragonite because Dragonair was always one of my favorites. All pretty and blue and fluid. And then... suddenly... Big orange derpy dargon???? The evolution has never, ever made sense to me 8C

OK no but seriously, don't worry, I don't think the evolution makes sense to anyone. I've heard people claiming Gyarados should have been its real final evolution because it fit even better.
