Anyone know how much a decent computer would cost me?

$3,000. But that's decent for me. What do you need the computer to be able to do. If you want it to be able to play any of today's newest games, you'll need to spend some CA$H MONEY on a video card, RAM, and hard drive space. You'd probably get the best "bang" for your "buck" if you put together all the pieces your self. PC Club over on HWY111 has good deals all the time for mobo/case combos. And I hear their prices are alright.

If you just want word processing and internet, it'd still probably be in your best interest to buy a 1 GHz or higher Pentium 4 or Athlon XP. Ask Steve or Shawn, cause they keep up with hardware more than I do.

o.O;

Yeah, just regular school needs and internet. Maybe a little bit of photoshopping here and there, but yeah.
Holy crap.

I'd put it at around $500-700 for a good solid computer that'll do what you need to do for school and still be nice and smooth for photoflop and such. I guess it depends on what features exactly are most important to you and which features you're willing to skimp on.

how much have you got? you can get one for super cheap, but the more you have the more decent it is.
