You won't absolutely won't bulk up cycling. Cycling is primarily a cardio exercise and is aerobic. You bulk up muscles lifting weights and pretty heavy weights at that using anaerobic exercise. It is actually incredibly hard to bulk up, you have to lift heavy weights, eat lots of protein and other things!

Don't worry and put your mind at rest, what you are doing will just result in toning up and looking even better :)

Also, being a lady, your low testosterone levels make it extremely hard to build muscle, as it's a primary factor.
Hence the hormonal oddness of female shot-putters and body builders.

I dunno. My thighs are pretty bulky (well, just shy of 21" - is that a lot?)

But then, I've been cycling since I was five. I don't even consider it exercise any more.

To be honest, it probably depends as much on *how* you cycle. There's a difference between simply commuting to work, and powering up the steepest hills.

Plus, for a woman's metabolism the rules are gonna be all different again.

I guess the short answer is, I don't know either.
