From my understanding, if you really want your opinion heard, you have to send your letter by snail mail. Most elected officials (at least at the state level and up) don't care about responding to emails properly like they do with letters. So I read his letter that whatever intern wrote, right? I got a similar but completely different message from John Linder who feels that this bailout is the devil. Anyway, I am actually curious if I could possibly agree with Mr. Chambliss. I don't know enough really to make a decision, but I don't think anyone does. I suppose the only way to do that is to actually look up the bill, I imagine that has to be viewable by the public, cause the only news I've really watched about it is really negative and regularly uses the language "ramming down the taxpayers throats".
I thought that was pretty special too - and I think it was 150 Billion.. Like blatantly going against what everyone in this election has said they oppose.
I felt the same way, that same passage was what I was looking to SOMEONE to say - that we're not trying to spend every penny we can. Truth is though, I just don't believe that they won't.
