Breakfast Diatribe

The problem with eating breakfast in a staff room is that any random fellow staff member can stand right next to you and tell you in detail about what's happening in his favourite soap opera, and all you can do about it is eat your eggs more quickly.

Mmm, eggs.

Heh. True enough! I have enough of a mouth on me though that usually I don't have to passively accept other people's conversational assaults.

"I'm sorry, we'll have to continue this later. My eggs are so crunchy I can't hear you properly."

I actually did a bunch of the creative mishearing and not hearing, but he was undeterred.

Now I'm wondering if I should have friends-locked this post.
