I really enjoyed this, especially the ending. While I grew up in the Cleaver era, we were not a Cleaver family -- too much chaos. My mother grew up on a farm during the Depression. She and her brothers did something similar with a pie and whatever gross stuff they could find. The result was the same -- the kids had to eat their experiment.

Yep, Dad also grew up through rough times in the 30s, so he had (and still has) an extreme aversion to any waste of food.

My sister would love this story. She played a similar trick on a cousin, a long time ago. Only difference is - she didn't get caught

I loved the story too, but of course I never did anything like that with my brother :)
