But I don't think that will happen, and I figure it has to just get better. right?

I'm glad you're doing ok after that - take it easy this weekend.

And I learned from those experiences with my old Civic that seemingly minor cosmetic damage on bumpers can be remarkably expensive for those fiberglass bumpers. I wouldn't be surprised if she did a lot more damage to her car than it seemed. The bitter person I am much of time hopes that is the case for her.

PS - I'm demanding of the universe that you have a cake and balloons sort of week next week.
