Wow. I think I need to hear this performed live. Possibly ay some sort of rap battle like in 8 Mile. And when you are finished you must disdainfully drop the mike as if to say "I'm too good for this shit."
Up until the last bit I thought you were describing Eminem. White and tiny and silly never stopped anyone from rapping. I think what you need to do is say to yourself: Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity To seize everything you ever wanted-One moment Would you capture it or just let it slip?
alex this is what happens when I stay up late to write papers now
it used to be that I would just stare at them and not get anything done, but now the words swirl in my head as I stare and I am doomed to write rap I guess
I started writing this as the conclusion of the paper in the actual document before I took it out and realized it belonged somewhere else
(conclusion doesn't mean I'm almost done writing it. I was skipping ahead)
Man, Caravaggio is so gangsta, it is not even exaggeration. I wish we'd spend more time in class talking about the artists' lives, but we are stuck with long lectures about bisecting diagonal lines and the occasional slide projection butt grab.
I taught an art (well, design) history class today meant to be the exact opposite of that.
There's a character in In the Skin of a Lion and its better-known sequel, The English Patient, named Caravaggio. He is the best character in the books. He is introduced while in prison for theft, painting the roof of the prison the exact shade of blue as the sky so as to escape without anyone noticing.

maybe possible
that I will record myself saying it after I'm done with this year
(this is contingent on me losing a little more dignity before the end of the semester)

Also, in my head Caravaggio was already pretty gangsta owing to a book I read in eleventh grade. Long story.
