This may be the shittiest thing to happen to Chekhov in the last five minutes, but it's the best thing to happen to me tonight.

ZOMG TEXTURE I VOTE YES. But less on the faces as they are perfect.

Chekhov's misery: making us feel better about our situations since 2009.

Undastrood. It means this will be a long weekend, but the kind of long weekend I like.

Agreed on texture! I think it will look most fabulous.

I just read that book! My roomie has it and let me flip through it :) I think you accomplished your goal! He definitely looks uncomfortable and like he's holding something back to hide this.

Man that guy. He will haunt my nightmares, eugh. By which I mean to say awesome job A+

It will probably make it look fabulous of the most variety, but I'll have to work fast.

omg Scott McCloud writes comic bibles. Did you read Understanding Comics or Making Comics? I just reread Making and it put me in the heaviest comic making mood with the least amount of free time. Boo.
But yay goal accomplished!

My ultimate goal is to make art that will give people nightmares forever, since primarily what makes me nostalgic in art is nightmare fuel. I guess it's my way of spreading love?

Making Comics :D Roomie has both so I'm definitely hitting her up for the other soon.

And man I know what you mean, I got hit with this wave of desire to ~create~.... right at fucking finals....

I need to punch myself more to turn myself into a person who thinks in comics ._. I tend to block stuff out like a storyboard instead of like a comic. :P

Well, if you are not a person who thinks in comics, it's possible you don't have to punch yourself, but instead do a tweaked medium. Your style makes me think you could make a really cool illustrated book hybrid type thing, like not quite a comic and not quite a book if that makes sense.

Maybe I am babbling.

Yaaay

Vegetable oil is for spreading them so they come out in a smoother texture. I'll post the end result so you can see. It's really fun, you should try it!

I ended up doing an ink texture with colored pencil over it because the color is pretty smooth. So far it does not look ruined and actually looks kinda neat, so I am excited.
