Argh. Let's get the trifling out of the way first.
I don't remember if I already mentioned this, but before Halloween, I bought my goddaughter a unicorn candy basket from Spirit Halloween. They had some promo where you'd get free expedited 2 day shipping if you hit some threshold. $30, maybe? So in order to hit that, I threw in two different kinds of lumaria bags (one Hocus Pocus, the other I don't recall) and placed my order. Pretty sure this was the Friday before Halloween.

Wednesday, Oct. 30th, my box arrives. Only it is very much smaller than I was expecting. Annnnnnnnd the bucket wasn't in it. I try to contact them and they spend the ENTIRE DAY ducking the phone or answering anything. I eventually get tired of them dicking around, and I'd already tried tagging Cass in because if you want to make Customer Service your bitch, you call her, and bitched them out on FB. Almost immediately they were suddenly very interested in making things right. About this time Cass has finally gotten someone on the phone and they say they'll issue a refund for the bucket but that's the best they can do. In fact, they hang up on Cass when she's being transferred to the Spirit by my house to see if they actually have said bucket in store or not, in case I want to run there and pick one up. Fuck you, Spirit. I'm told it'll be 2-3 days, which is pretty standard in refunds, though it's usually never that long for it to show as pending.

Yeaaaaaaaaah. I get back to them... Monday? Tuesday? and suddenly because it's Paypal, it'll be 7-14 business days and they're so sorry no one mentioned that. First of all, the fuck? Right before Dorian, I realized Walmart had fucked me over in an order I did previously this summer and as I'm baking my hurricane brownies, they immediately refund my money. Why can they manage this trick but Spirit can't? But fine, what the fuck ever. I wait. And wait. Nothing. The 19th comes and nothing has changed. Sooooooo... I poke them via FB again as told to do previously.

They ask me to confirm my paypal address and then I get this:
We have submitted the refund of $13.07. Please be advised that this refund will go through a process of approval -which can take up to 24-48 business hours. All approved refunds are issued on Fridays, therefore which ever day it is approved, your refund will be sent the following Friday. The funds, will then take between 7-14 business days to arrive to your account. We greatly appreciate your patience!

Are. You. Motherfuckers. Fucking Kidding. Me?!

I get annoyed fairly easily, though I don't think most people notice because if you don't know me all that well and I'm not livid, I don't look any different. But I shot straight past annoyed and went to white hot anger.

Since they'd taken their sweet time getting back to me the second time, I'd opened a case with Paypal (I think that's legitimately the only reason they did get back to me then), and the case automatically closes the 25th if I don't escalate it. I read that nonsense and I hit escalate because it should not take me a goddamn month to get my money back because some fuckwit couldn't be bothered to do their job in the first place and I really shouldn't have to fucking wait just because no one else can figure out how to properly do theirs. FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

Yeah. I hit escalate. Annnnnnnnnnd almost immediately got this:
Marian, we understand your frustration and for that we apologize.
We can email screenshot proof that the refund was issued on October 30th as we mentioned, our intentions are not to waste your time. We are doing everything we can to have this issue resolved for you. We asked you to wait the max days it takes PayPal to receive refunds issued, because if we had issued a duplicate while the one previously issued was in progress- it would have triggered all attempts to freeze. Due to unforeseen circumstances, these are the next steps we have to take to ensure you receive your refund, which unfortunately takes time. We are deeply sorry for the delay.

Fuck Spirit. Fuck them so hard. I cannot think of another store I've ever dealt with that wouldn't have done something to make this right and done so well before now. Send the bucket late, actually refund the cost of the forgotten item, or better yet, the whole goddamn transaction because at this point you've wasted so much of my time that it's ridiculous.

In possibly happier news, AG is doing their 10 Days of Sales, and today's sale is 25% off one item. This really is only worth it if you're near a store for something small OR you're getting something BIG. But it's an option.

Also, I'd like to direct your attention to this beautiful polish right here. I bought Holo Taco's One Coat Black which is actually amazing and the Linear Holo (It's holo and it's pretty but I can't remember the combo I used that made it stupidly pretty) but Midnight Spark here is um, yeah. I wasn't sold on the rest of the Holodays collection because of the price, but then I saw MS and my wallet cried. I really want to try the Super Glossy Taco but I'm broke and thus no shiny for me yet.

Oh! If you remember the big guy who stepped over our counters at work to ransack the cigs, apparently they finally jailed him. 10-15 years. I'm assuming he either hit a magical number when it came to what he stole OR he bumped into someone physically and they went with assault or something. Assuming, of course, that the information passed along to us was correct.

Gonna go watch some Dreamhouse Adventures until the benadryl kicks in and my sinuses stop feeling like I'm gonna die.
