Those are lovely vids! I just saw the Avengers. Keep meaning to post about it, 'cause I have thoughts, but kind of RL distracted. Grr. I think I need to see Iron Man and Captain America again, regardless. ;)
eee! hope RL is being kind to you :P i've been drowning in reading cap/ironman on AO3 since before the Avengers so i kinda haven't done much on LJ.. if you're interested in the stuff i've read, check out my AO3 bookmarks, although if RL requires comfy blankets, Valtyr's works will cure what ails one -- i think i devoured her cornucopia of stories kinda like i did Speranza's when i first discovered dS!
if RL's not sparing you a lot of time to read fics though, i've gathered a bunch of funny Avengers-related gifs and photos on my tumblr; those might be good for a few laughs, or cause you to have even more *thoughts*.. :)
Heh! I've been mainlining Steve/Tony fics, too, running over to AO3 every time work makes me go Arrgh! And Clint/Coulson, because they are odd and adorable.
Valtyr! *fistbump of commiseration* Hers were the first works I read, based on recs from a fan. "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" will always hold a special place in my heart.
Now after reading so many wonderful written-before-the-movie-happened stories, I keep hoping there will be another film, where they all move in together, Steve gets a chance to quit being Stern Guy In Charge and painfully odd man out emotionally, and there are amusing hijinks. I realize odds of that are small, but a fangirl can dream. ;)
Edit: Just took a look at the gifs and photos. So much fun! I'm looking forward to seeing hopefully a lot of special features on the dvd. I'm pretty sure they had an awful lot of fun making this movie. I am convinced that Chris Evans, at least, is a total goof.
:D :D :D omg! if you like goofy Chris Evans, have you seen The Losers? i went into the fandom a RDJ fangirl, but now i'm just as much a CE fan.. if you've seen that movie, you probably know what i mean -- sometimes he's really a giant wriggly puppy!! ♥ he's a really underrated actor (probably because he's too pretty? hah!).. i think you just might get parts of your wish though? because Joss Whedon said the sequel is going to be "more personal and more painful" -- i hope not *too* much more painful
