[ See the inside of Snape's house, all nice and cozy and dry. The wizard is, however, at the open door, glaring at the watery world awaiting him. If it weren't for the Potions ingredients he could get from going out there, he wouldn't step a single foot outside that door. Unfortunately, this was part of being a Potions Master. ]

{Lily is having a hard time not laughing. Then again, she can't say much. Her battle with avoiding the water finally ended once she lost her footing on a rooftop. She slipped into the water ungracefully and became a mermaid (the one on the left).}

...oops?

[Yes, great, just who he wanted to be made a fool in front of. But then, there she goes.

It's not a bad sight, but Snape doesn't show much reaction aside from an arched eyebrow of amusement.]

Welcome to the water.

{Lily wiggles experimentally, not entirely sure how to operate her tail. It seems awfully...clunky to be honest. Weren't mermaids supposed to be lithe and graceful?}

Are we...stuck...like this until the end of the week?

Such is usually the case, yes.

[Oh, don't mind the laughing here, either. Only right now she's inside someplace dry, thus looking normal. Give her a few moments to get it under control.]

I wonder why they thought squid was most appropriate...

You'll have to ask them.

I suppose so... When I asked about the particular changes, they didn't say much past that they tried to deliver properly.

...whoa. That's...sort of unfortunate. [Understatement, perhaps. Still, Merlin's amazed that they've been completely transformed when most people have only changed partially.]

So it would seem.

[Snape's not in the water yet, but he is eyeing it again. Stupid need for ingredients.]

[A very sharky-mermaid Rip can't help but laugh at the both of them and it doesn't look like she's stopping any time soon.]

[Have an arched eyebrow from the Snape who is still in the house.]

A mermaid, Miss Winkle? How... feminine.

I wouldn't be too sure about that... Swordfish are quick and agile creatures known to be capable of impaling the occasional shark that can match their speed.

[He waves a tentacle or two at the screen, another octopus to add to the collection. He doesn't seem too bothered by it though.]

Don't get why I couldn't have been turned into a shark. This is ridiculous. [ Draco's still attempting to adjust to his squid form. It's clear that he's having trouble with the undercurrent. ]
