[There are a lot of fallen trees and charred remains of now unidentifiable monsters in the Wastes today, courtesy of many horrified and angry people. Snape is one of them, and from the looks of it, he's been at this for a while. And by a while, one means from ever since he woke up in an unfamiliar bed in a disgustingly familiar house, surrounded by ( Read more... )

[And, just to be difficult, Tom puts it on a voice filter. His voice is taut with frustration.]

[And he'll follow along because hello, Dark Lord. And not in the best of moods either, it seemed. There's also a certain wariness in his own voice, and none of the usual snark and arrogance.]

I... find myself needing to verify something.

['Not in the best of moods' is a very grand understatement. Tom is furious. He wants to kill something. Someone. The Animus took away his memories and let him know, for the barest moment, how his life could have been.

And now Tom is left with the reality of the situation: his mother was weak. His mother did not fight for him. His father -- well, useless, disposable, Tom took care of that rather nicely. He is an orphan, poised for success, and that entire week made him think that letting go of whatever he was fighting for was worth it.

So, when he speaks, it is coldly.]

I have no time for games. Tell me whatever you need to verify and I will verify it.

[The Other Father finds himself staring at the screen through black button eyes, quite mesmerized by the magic going on. He had seen a sort of magic before, but it was more like spinning a web to create things than flashes of light.]

That's a nifty stick you've got there.

[He's gone to help Sephiroth blow up before, so he can do it again for his 'little brother'.

He won't ask, either, just be on his way and get there and wait until you notice him.]

[And your 'little brother' won't say a word when he sees you, merely blowing chunks out of the thick trunk of a nearby tree with his wand. He's run out of monsters, so now he's turn his rage on the tree. Besides, the tree could stand up to more abuse, more cathartic that way.]
