Not exactly... we certainly saw young James and young Snape, but in nowhere near as much detail as in the book. Still, I'm glad we saw what we did... anything's better than nothing!
Yeah, I felt cheated that the scenes with the young Marauders was so short. That, and it was never revealed that Umbridge was the one who sent the dementors to Privet Drive.
I think if they had made the movie about a half an hour longer, they could have told a richer story. Overall, I enjoyed it, though.
Loved: -Snape's barely tolerated inquisition -Lucius's new wig -The battle scene -The fact that they skipped Madame Puddifoot's
Disappointed by:
-No Marietta Edgecombe, for the scene where she's labeled a Sneak and where Kingsley bewitches her into lying. -Arabella Figg's lack of urgency when she told Harry to keep his wand out. -No rant by Moody before leaving Privet Drive about wand safety and the fact that he actually allowed them to fly low, completely ignoring the International Statute for Wizarding Secrecy, though it was a fantastic scene. -No rant by Harry at the end, and no mirror or conversation with Nick.
OMG, I can't believe I forgot to mention your #1! That was absolutely classic.
The battle scene was brilliant, although I'm still trying to work out what the hell the whole turn-wispy-and-show-up-in-another-location tricks were all about... was that Apparation? I thought that was appearing and disappearing with a sudden crack or pop... hmmm...
