So I saw Elektra Friday night. It was okay-Better than daredevil and less plotholes than X2, but still, nothing extraordinary. I was less visibly upset this time because I went in expecting it to be complete and utter crap, so it was a pleasant surprise to find it was standard hollywood comic book movie stuff instead.

Thoughts on Elektra-May contain a spoiler or two )

That's one of the reasons that I actually like reading the Ron/Ginny incest stories. Because every one that I've found so far shows that they both KNOW how wrong it is, but that there's just so many underlying issues (esp. on Ginny's end).
As far as Passions, I didn't know you watch that. Dev's roommate does, so I know a little bit about the storyline. As far as her keeping the baby...it's gross, but at the same time, the little I've seen of it, it showed her actually torn in the decision, and it's very realistic. I mean, she DID love Chad (and I'd imagine still does in a twisted way). As someone who actually knows someone who went through something similar in real life (only they were 2nd or 3rd cousins, not half siblings), I can appreciate that part of the storyline for being realistic.
And of course, there's the whole issue with inbreeding and problems with the baby. It makes it more likely but it doesn't ( ... )

The thing that bugs me is, she shouldn't BE torn. She's supposed to be the one with common sense-Keeping the baby is something Theresa would do. She should be smart enough to know about inbreeding and how gross it is.
I'm sure she probably still loves Chad, but unlike him, she refuses to pretend they're not related.
See, if they were cousins or even neice and uncle,etc.. it wouldn't bug me as much, because in some parts of India, they marry their uncles and 2nd cousins isn't incest, so it's not *as* bad.
But this is her brother What are the odds that kid will wind up normal ( ... )
