Summary: The expression of true love is all well and good... until the side effects become apparent.
“It’s been three weeks, Potter.”
“Yes, Sev, I know.” Harry said with a sigh, snuggling closer.
“This simply can not be allowed to persist,” Severus stated with a huff.
The hot, frustrated breath tickled the fine hairs atop Harry’s head. He didn’t pay much mind, after all this was the same conversation as yesterday, the day before that, and before that.
“Their love is so strong, Sev, it would be sad to see them fade,” Harry whispered, petting the glowing, white doe’s head.
“Of course you would be the one to concern yourself with the romantic affairs of our Patronus.”
_________
“Why is it cruel of me to suggest they stay in the Magical Creature’s Paddock?”
“Because they are the ultimate symbol of our love, you git!”
“Our ‘love’ keeps me up at night, and not in an enjoyable manner,” Severus hissed, gesturing to the huddled mass of entwined deer asleep on the bed.
“You accept and enjoy it when I say ‘I love you’ right? And when I call you my dark beloved?”
“I see not how that applies here.”
“They are all manifestations of our love. If it helps, think of them just as the others… terms of en-deer-ment.”
