all kinds of haps, people. got an apartment and spent today canceling current electricity, etc. and setting up future electricity, etc. and i got boxes this morning so i can start packing this evening. and i'm doing the PODS thing to move, so i'll pack everything in there on august 9 and 10 and they'll haul it away on august 11. it won't arrive at

boy!!! I'm so proud of you! It's weird leaving Texas, let me tell you (moreso when you're going to Korea), but I think you'll do ok. I'm going through kind of sad feelings right now, missing Austin and the like, but I'm also finding the strength to move on. It's kind of cool!

Please post pictures of your new place when you get a chance!

will do. yeah, i'm already missing austin. i am hoping to come back to texas at some point (houston), but that will probably be two years at the earliest.

but yeah, i imagine the culture shock would be a little more extreme in korea, and probably also that initial sense of isolation.
