After sixteen hours of waiting and hoping and fretting without sleep, the impromptu secondary surgery was completed. She now has tubes down her throat, coming from every orifice, and pumping in and out all srts of unknown things. I have been forced to take up the signing responcibilities for her procedures, something that I was hoping to avoid.

Sixteen hours is alot time. At least with all that signing you wont forget to how to spell your name. You should learn how to knit it helps releive tension and stress not mention pass the time.
