Round 5 FAQ

What is a big bang?
A big bang is a challenge where authors sign up to write a complete story (minimum word length varies from 10,000 to 50,000) in a set time period.

How do I sign up?
When sign-ups start, there will be one post for authors and one for artists where you can sign up for the challenge.

Very hesitant about signing up becasue I already signed up for a BB challenge, but I've got a crossover. My question is that it is a multi-chapter fic, is that ok? I know I won't be able to post it up anywhere else , so that's fine with me. it's roughly 31 chapters, but as we speak, I'm on chapter 12...Since I'm reallynot that good at tech, if I sign up, could someone tell me how to do link/post stuff. I wouldn't want to miss a deadline.

Absolutely! Multi chapter fics are welcome, if its already been posted in part online for others to see we might ask you to take it down. But if it's just been on your harddrive we can absolutely help you when it comes time to post.

Nope, its just on my jump drive...and paper, but yeah. Say, is there a specific place I go to find someone willing to beta, since I have to have one.

There are SPN beta communities (don't have any on hand right now but I could look!). You are also welcome to make a post to sn_crossovers asking for a beta!

I was having a discussion with my friend over what is considered a crossover or not, and I'd like to just to clarify with you.

If I bring characters from another fandom into the Supernatural universe (as if they had always been there) and they play a large role in the plot, is that still considered a crossover? Or would it only be considered a Supernatural crossover if characters from Supernatural have to be placed into the universe of another fandom?

I am going to assume that the fandom you cross Supernatural with must be a completely separate thing, and a cross with its own RPF fandom wouldn't count? ;)

I don't actually have an idea for one, but I know that if I don't make sure its's not allowed, it'll be the only idea I get, hehe.

Thats exactly it! Supernatural/Supernatural RPF does not count as a crossover.
