Potential Crossed Over Fandoms: Lord of the Rings
Story Idea (this is optional): The Winchesters were a nomadic tribe from the east, known specifically for the mounts that they raised in a herd, a type of antelope called an impala. They were driven to the north hundreds of years ago, now hunters that learned from the Dunedain rangers, fighting things that hide in the dark. There are no better masters of seeking out evil than the Winchesters. When the ring bearer must reach the fires of Mordor, the heart of darkness, who better to guide the way into danger. Aragon thinks Dean, son of John, would be a great asset, but Gandolf worries that the brother never far behind is not strong enough to resist the power of the ring. They may not have to worry however, because there are more things to fear than just creatures of darkness.

Wow, great story idea. Absolutely love it (and of course Sam wouldn't be able to resist the ring. He is many things, but able to withstand temptation ... I think not (or maybe yes in your story. I don't know, but can't wait to read :)).

Edits: The summary is subject to change at pretty much any moment, about any detail, but this is the general idea. As well, I'm going to be crossing this over with the Movie!verse, not the books. I did not finish the books before I moved out of my parents house, and have not finished them since, and while I plan to finish them at some point, this story will be (hopefully) written before then. This will also be focusing on the spn characters exclusively, and while the summary talks about what Aragon and Gandolf think, I won't actually write from either of their perspectives.

I'm bringing this up because I've been sent concerns about where I'm going with this and for some clarification, so I figured I'd tag this on to reassure anyone else wondering the same things.
